70mai Firmware Update (changing from Chinese to English)

LOL I'm surely not a chinese speaker, but it was working ...
I will retry with 1.08, but the "eu" version work also on CN version ??

1.0.8eu works on Midrive D01 (Chinese) version as it is repeatedly typed on this very forum.

My 70mai is CN version. The seller had been flashed it to EN version 1.0.4na

Now I have tried upgrade to newer version, CN, EN, EU, 1.0.6, 1.0.7, 1.0.8, but none works. It all ends with "Update failed"

Can anyone help please?

Please check from the back of the camera is your model is "Mi drive D01".

Als, considering there is no screen, please tell us how do you get "update failed" message

Hello,

Mine is midrive D02

I followed these steps:

- copy SD_CarDV.bin to root folder of SD card
- turn off the 70mai
- insert SD card to 70mai
- press the far right button and big long button, hold it untill it says something "upgrade firmware..."
- few seconds later, red cross appears and "update failed"
 
1 more question, if my 70mai is CN version, and it was flashed to EN firmware, so if I need to upgrade, which fw (example 1.0.8) should i take:

OTA_16_FULL_DR002_v1.0.8.eu_20190315-1036_full
or
SD_CarDV_1.0.8eu_(for CN version)_ENG VOICE AND CONTROL

On Mi drive 01, there is no need to press any button. The firmware starts installing automatically.

Can you try the same way? Put the firmware in root and turn the camera on. Do not press any button.

If we can speak English word and get it works at 65%, do you think it will work better if we speak Chinese words?

Does anyone has experienced to use both of the version?

There is also Russian version. The CPU and the realy time operating system has very limited capability but even this functionality is very useful for the time being.

Next could be "take picture and send it to xxx with mms/email/whatsapp/instagram/telegram..."

Or, automatic number plate/brand name/model recognition could be commercialized in the next 3 years...

Hello

I have a 70mai Midrive D01 EU (EN version) firmware 1.0.7.ww
Is there a 1.0.8 version for my camera? if yes were can i download it from and ho to install it?

The problem i have with this camera is that it records video on 1 minute increments. However if you try to merge for example 15 clips on a sigle video you will notice that it records 15 minutes and 1 second. So the camera doesn't record exactly on 1 minute but ends the clip 1 minute and a few miliseconds. This is a problem for me when i want to sync my videos with another camera i have.

Has anybody else noticed that?

Finally I did back to 1.0.4. I don't know if you guys notice the picture quality get worst in 1.0.5

I didn't know about because with my device I had 1.0.4 and I upgraded to 1.0.5. How is 1.0.8

No, this is for the Chinese version. You need firmware for the international version.
