They have googles with head tracking but that's serious expensive gear. This is more my budget:I have tried to fly my friends phantom 1 with hiro 3 silver as video source and his fat shark goggles as display, but i dont like the wide angle view you get with that.
Sure if you just fly high there is no problems, but when you get down low and in between things it start to be hard judging distance to things.
So we normally fly with a analog CCTV camera for the view, and then the gopro to record what ever go on.
What i really would like to see is a small PTZ camera for use on planes and quadcopters, 5 - 10 X zoom would be fine for recreational use.

One thing that will allow me to use the gitup camera for fpv is the ability to change the fov in the menu. Way easier than switching cameras or lenses!
