Street Guardian SGZC12RC Remote Lens, Sony Exmor IMX322, WDR

Thinking about it, ideally it would be a cable with a right angled/90 degree MicroUSB connector ON BOTH ENDS.

jon, are all the X1s coming your way spoken for? I'm local, it's my day off. I'll make a trip to you guys if you're releasing them today. :p

I think you are safe abarth :)

My kind of 500 :D

L-shape video cable plugs was in my mind from very first day of X2. It would make less "footprint" of X1 and X2 cameras.

Niko, I did an exhaustive search last night and found this cable extension which is oriented in the correct configuration for both the X1 camera and the main unit. If this works, I'd rather have this setup as it would be more secure at the connections themselves

This is the one I bought as a simple adaptor for the X1. For $3, can't go wrong. I am hoping to find the correct angled extension cable, but can't seem to find one in the proper Micro USB to Micro USB configuration.

California shipment just arrived and I'm beginning triple QA testing now. I'll send you a PM.

By the way, X1 supports mass storage mode. You can plug into the second microUSB port using the included regular USB cable and read the microSD(not included) video files directly on your computer. . The Panorama S and G don't support mass storage mode so this is a welcome feature. some may enjoy .

For main unit side this any many other similar adaptors / extensions might do the job, but not for camera. I researched for past 3 month L-shape adaptor but non of them properly fit camera side correct way. L-bent should face horizontaly inside car ( 180 degree opposite side from lens ) . I found all 3 types ( facing up, down and forward ), but non that would face back. If you know what I am trying to say ;)

I do wish that the initial white shell of the prototype X1 was available as an option. it wouldn't look out of place in my interior.

That looks more off white than pure white but hard to tell on my iPhone . I think the black would blend in best even with that bling interior.

Yes look like RAL 9010 witch i have powdercoated thousand of Sq M, that and 9006 ( grey metallic ) and 9005 ( black ) was the main colors.

The really white 9003 and 9016 was allso popular.

SGZC12RC / X1 is now shipping! (USA)

Please note the secondary supplemental extra long microUSB cables didn't get shipped for some reason and I won't be able to receive them until after the Chinese New Year holiday is over. These bonus longer cables will be shipped ASAP.

The regular 2 meter microUSB cable is included and should be suitable for most. I'm looking for a short term suitable substitute with no luck so far.
(for those that ordered 2 units and wanted both DVR boxes up front for example)

Guys, I'm eagerly awaiting delivery of my X1 which Jon shipped earlier this week. In the meantime I'm trying to get my head around how the parking mode works.

If I've understood correctly (unlikely!):
  • I'll power the device from a discharge prevention device (yet to decide on which one, with battery backup, I'll buy). There doesn't seem to be many options in the UK
  • Motion detection will need to be switched on
  • If the device sees motion it will start recording, with the 5 second pre-event buffer
That leads me to a few questions:
  • When the device sees movement it starts recording, but what flags the device to protect (lock) the recording - g-sensor? I don't want the device to protect every file that contains movement as obviously when I'm driving anywhere there will be constant motion
  • The device will obviously then be on 24/7/365 - are frequent reboots recommended and if so how often?
Thanks, and sorry in advance if these are numpty questions.

Dae.
