Street Guardian SGZC12RC Remote Lens, Sony Exmor IMX322, WDR

Niko speed not display on video file right ?
On prototype I have there is a gps built-in, so it displays speed like Pano S / G, but no gps on retail version.

The Street Guardian version dont have GPS antenna for this dashcam, at least not yet and i am not sure if they will have it in the future.

Here is a dual channel setup in a 2013 Mustang.

You'll see
2 SGZC12RC (1 front, 1 rear) with 128GB cards
Main units are in the glovebox powered via PANOBDP MotoPark.

1 SG9665GC up front (for redundency and testing)

and an escort radar detector. (Soon to be replaced by something more stealthy/hidden)

Ok so I know there are more important issues to deal with ATM (heat focus), but is there a SGZC12 model actually planned with the GPS support? It's a little confusing as it's listed as a GPS model in some posts or retailers but it doesn't come with GPS support. Waiting for the heat issue to be fixed at least before picking one up, but really a GPS version would be desirable.

GPS version was just a prototype as mentioned in 1st post.

Retail version of SGZC12RC has no gps.

I have also removed "gps"-word from title to less confuse people.

Ok thanks, I guess that also means GPS version won't happen.

Never say never ;)
There are no info at the moment regarding gps version.

Here is a dual channel X1 setup in a 2013 Mustang.
I remember a friend of yours had a Mustang kind of like this. I'm just curious is this theirs? Did they upgrade? Is it a customer?, or did you need a taste of V8 on the weekends?

It's my business partners. We both swap between the new company Ford Explorer (Sport Edition) and the Mustang now. I've had the Mustang for the past 6 weeks though. :) It's a bit addicting yes.
We're completing our move to Nevada now finally as well. (got delayed)

it's still possible, depends more on how much interest there is
Cool, not sure how you will check how much interest there is, I mean maybe we need another poll. :D (I know I would be interested, especially hard to go from GPS to non-GPS dashcam for a user IMO, and there isn't much choice in remote lens cams)

really depends on sales if it's worthwhile or not, this is a bit of a left field model, some people still don't get the concept

I get the concept and love it. I love stealth. would like GPS but not essential for now as I have it rear cam.

Ahh, I understand!

Actually the other fun part about this cam is that it can serve as a mini backup cam out of the box if lens is installed in back. (though it may not have mirror image like the X2, still can be useful )

depends where it's mounted as to how useful GPS is also, in some installations getting signal can be a problem

Yeah, for this cam I think the GPS would really need to be a plug-in module like for the 665, to get good signal while the main unit sits hidden away or close to driver.

that would be more suited, the original design includes a radar detector as part of the functionality so it was really designed as a dashtop device, in that case it's fine, that's not for everyone though

I installed an SGZC12RC / Panorama X1 in my Mini Cooper today. For installation photos see...

Here's some frame grabs from my first drive with my new setup, which replaces a Mobius B...

Please click on the thumbnails to view the images. You'll notice the dash reflected in the windscreen. You may spot deer in a couple of the images, & a Renault Twizy in another.
