After noticing a few corrupted files on the SD card a couple of days ago, had formatted the card using the camera's built-in routine and it seemed to have done the trick.
Since formatting the card, the camera was working as it should and there weren't anymore corrupt files to be seen, until today.
The A119S booted up normally and did start recording as it should (all files post formatting are there except the last one before it hung), it's only after a few minutes I noticed in the IRVM that the screen was still turned on and looked like the camera was stuck on the start-up logo. Tried restarting but wouldn't go past the logo; with or without the SD card inserted.
While exhibiting this behaviour, the logo stays on for a few seconds on unplugging the Mini USB cable, the screen slowly fades to off once the capacitor is depleted.
Thought probably it could have something to do with the cable or power supply but switching the cables with the Mobius or using a different 2.1 A power supply and cable didn't make any difference.
Resetting the camera via the pin hole button made no difference either.
Using a Transcend 400X 64GB. H2testw doesn't show any errors.

The camera is back in action after reloading the firmware.

The above issues are only cropping up when using the 4 metre Monoprice cable in the rear. More in the following post -
