Xiaomi Action Cam...

Dident suprice me.
I dont even like some one else taking pictures of me, if i am with some one and they snap pictures left and right i tell them to dont post any pictures with me in them ( not that i check up on that as i dont use those sites )
A cuple of years back we was shooting our airguns at a friends house, and a guest there walked around taking pics, so i had to tell the person that i hope you are aware that what we are doing here is illigal so please dont post it on facebook.
She formatted the memory in her Dslr, so no doubt those pics where heading for facebook or somthing. :D

I have pre-ordered mine. Lets now hope it wont take them 60 days to ship it. Paid it a bit higher then I wanted, but lets see if the camera is worth 95$.

where did you buy from?
 
I got mine on AliExpress.
It might take a while for it to arrive, plus a while for me to test it out, as I like to do in-depth tests, not just go out and do 2 min video.
Really excited about the camera. Lets hope it wont take forever for these guys.

I got basic version. Does anyone know what so special about the Selfie stick? Not sure if that can be a reason why the travel version is 20-25$ more expensive.
I was also informed that right now there are no waterproof cases. So I do not understand if cam is waterproof itself or not. Will be interesting to see all this once I get the cam.

I notice some saying it will fit in the SJ4000 waterproof case

I might pick one up when I'm back in China in a few weeks time and see what it's like
 
From what I saw in a video on YT... It doesn't fit in SJ4000 case(?)
 
On the Facebook page I created there is a video shared which shows its not possible. I would sens the link but I am on a mobile atm.

It's the camera lens that doesn't fit the case as it is slightly different placement from what I remember

I see xiaomi will not make money from selling the camera but the accessories. The camera internals are high cost so their camera profit is very low. They just want to start a price war, no matter the costs.
Their Android application is called XXX Cam. And of course the icon application is containing a lot of red. Like porn.

Hmmm I've got one of these on the way but if the mrs sees an app on my phone called "XXX Cam" I can see I'll have a lot of explaining to do :/

It's bad enough hiding the apps I've already got :D

Not sure if its enough for someone to pull a trigger like I did and get this little fella, but BangGood has it for 92.99$.

I totally fail to see what the fascination is with 'selfies'. :confused:

Only once in my life have I ever taken a picture of myself and that was just to show my son (who lives about 1,000 miles away) what my new haircut looked like when I went from very long hair to very short. People who are 'into selfies' must have a great need for approval from others, either that or they think they are much more interesting then they really are. ;)

There is no problem posting coupons and links to stores if you are not the retailer. Seems like Banggood has it for $92.99 if you use coupon code: xiaoyi

The camera app name for the Xiaomi Sports Camera is called "Yi Camera"
