I have been in contact with gearbest for weeks and still haven't had any luck with replacement GPS. I have been promised replacement numerous times and fobbed of repeatedly. Now I have been told they don't know if they can get one ! I'm happy for everyone else who has managed to get a replacement but very frustrated with the way I have been treated myself by gearbest

Thanks gearbest. I received the replacement gps module today. 1 GPS module and one suction mount. It's a saperate GPS module from the suction mount. Haven't test it yet.

My new GPS puck and new mount arrived today. I will put it in the car tomorrow and compare the acquisition times, old versus new

The GPS signal lock on my GS98C is very good.
The first time I ever used it, it locked in 1 minute, then 30 seconds.
This morning also right around 1 minute.
So the GPS signal issue looks like resolved with the GPS module update.

Tested mine for 2 days. It works. Only Down fall is that is not attach to the mount like it supposed to be. The reason why I purchase GS98c is because the GPS is attached to the mount. So now the replacement GPS module is an extension cable which defeats the purpose of the design.

It's not firmware update.
I got the dashcam with separate GPS module and not the one that's built in the mount.

The idea of separating from me appeared the GPS module. initial experiment I did and I reported in gearbes, then we have to send a separate GPS module.
