Viofo A119 Car DVR factory sample tests

I added original videos to YouTube description link. The problem from the start of Yi camera I don't know what happened was something like vibration, but in that part the road seems to be good.

hard to know, Gearbest sell stuff when they have no stock and blame delays on shipping, taking money a month before stock is available is not unusual for them so even when they do say available it could be a couple of pre production pieces and they'll start banking the money before the mass production is done

I agree with jokiin......very suspicious ads.

For sellers like gearbest they like to get more traffic, we have told them it is not the time to list this on their site.
We will keep update status here, also we will not sell pre preductions samples, but we will offer some samples for testing soon.

I've seen these sellers sell their test samples before, they all want to be the first to sell, maybe Gearbest do good quantity and I understand you need that but their service is pretty poor for the customers if things go wrong

Yes, I have seen some customers complain about their service, so sometime we come to forum to help users directly, even do warranty service to user directly.
Gearbest told me last year they will improve support this year, wish they will do much better.

Would like to see them improve their service, too many complaints about them here is out of proportion to the amount of advertising they do here

Viofo, why do you not have any links to firmware on your website. Basically the SUPPORT menu is empty.

Now that product is almost ready for market, are we any closer to knowing if the A119 will have a "parking mode"? (eg. records 5 or 10 seconds of footage before the motion is detected when parked)

Or, at the very least, improved motion detection trigger sensitivity over the so called "Motion Dectection Function" of the A118/B40, where a person could jump up and down in front of the car and it may or may not trigger.

The price seems a bit high I thought at $122US or $140US for GPS version. Was hoping for about $90US.

that's cheap really, only that price due to buying out of China, if it was a local product would be a lot more expensive

I am betting it will cost about double the price of current A118c.
So my guess has been accurate 😀
No way it is going to be sold just $10 or $20 more than the current A118c price. May be in 1-2 years time, but not now.

At $140US (over $200AU) it is starting to compete with SG9665GC with price. Luckily its video quality looks good so far, will have to see if its quality control and firmware stability are equally as good.

Xiaoyi costs half price. Viofo hasn't double quality. When Viofo will be available also Xiaoyi will be available with english (and better) firmware. Viofo should cost at least 20% less, that is 95$ for non-gps version and 115$ for gps version

Xioami business model is different, large volume production and very small profit to try and get market share

Xiaoyi costs half price.
Even I will receive a free XiaoYi I will not put on my windshield to have something big hanging in the middle of the windshield, in front of my eyes. It doesn't have at least ONE thing to make me go over its big size and use it.
Regarding price, there are cameras much cheaper than XiaoYi and my words are only about money not quality.

XiaoYi does not suit me despite cheaper price, because: (1) power by battery instead of super capacitor; (2) not discreet; (3) no GPS option.

Honestly it just looks like they removed the front button from their action camera and called it a dash cam. They didn't even bother changing the name! And I agree that it's way too big to leave it hanging in the windshield, especially when parked.

LOL Don't you just love when companies ignore great questions? I love when they only reply to simple yes and no questions. 😵
