Viofo A119s changes

is the A119S available yet? I have been out of the loop for a while now.

I'm still in two minds about waiting for the A119S or going for the A119 (Gearbest on special now). Just had a look on Viofo's website to check out the A119S, and noticed the A119 supports a CPL option as well?
My A119 has a G-sensor sensitivity problem:mad:

yes, the same CPL filter will fit the A119, A119S and an upcoming street guardian model as well.

Is Gearbest a repitubale seller? Or should I pony up the extra $10 and go with SpyTec or some other dealer?

Welcome to DCT weatherbug.

Would you think it worth to pay $10 extra for USA return address and 1 year of warranty, you can best answer that. Its your money. There is also other USA dealer.
There is other thread about Gearbest, you can check there reputation there.

Things I haven't thought of. Thank you very much for your input, Viking. I look forward to contributing to this community!

Note I'm from Australia, YMMV.

Just a heads up to you. @Capture Your Action is a Seller of the A119 if I'm not mistaken, and you can ask him about the A119 and see if he delivers

Broadbean welcome DCT.

It took me less than 10 second to google "viofo.com where to buy" and get an answer.
http://www.viofo.com/home/30-a119-1080p-60fps-dash-cam.html
Select "where to buy." Just below the first camera.

This site is for Australia.
http://www.dashcamscentral.com.au/dash-cam/dash-cam-viofo-a119/ and its working.
I have bought about fifteen different electrical items from GearBest in the past six months without any issue, but others have reported issues with GearBest so the choice is up to you. Personally, you'd get it far cheaper than from other retailers but there is the issues of warranty etc too to consider.

What is the definition of "far cheaper".
People should do there own research. Price, shipping cost. Return shipping cost. Length of warranty. How long time is the shipping time. Does the seller give any "after service" on the product. Does the producer make any upgrade to the product (firmware). Check DCT, to hear what member have to say about the product.

Thanks, and appreciate that. My point is I'm not from the US and the price difference is a tad more than $10 getting local. Had it been just that, I wouldn't consider GB!

before even getting into economies of scale the USA have a bigger advantage over us when it comes to duties, taxes, landed cost, freight etc

very true points. I got it for about thirty bucks cheaper than DashCamCentral, but they @broadbean would have to check as prices have come down since the product has been released. Plus GearBest does run specials like the other day the non-GPS A119 went down to $95 from $115. so yeah.

the cost of the products haven't come down, if anything they've increased, the Chinese resellers will sell stuff at cost just to get the sale, for them pretty much once it's sold that's the end of anything to do with the product so there's no allowance made for warranty, support etc

I see GB has it at $79.90 now......

That was actually the GPS version, which I grabbed for the old man's birthday coming up, my second purchase of the camera.

Dashcam Central AU currently selling it at full RRP.

Yep, and in the case of the A119, it's a relatively low cost product, I am also hoping for the best. My first dashcam bought a few years ago was from a relatively large company and while I'm still using it, in the early days I had to send it back and get a replacement - twice. And this was local. Cost me shipping x2, plus somehow I lost a memory card...

I've been avoiding GB a while, which was funny as one - I already had a login? And two - the promo codes didn't work, only then did I realise I had never activated my account! LOL

But this offer with GPS for a product that's been going ok in the main was why I chose it. I saved a fair bit from the locals, and relied on the feedback of forum members (not the 1 post from Kazakhstan type!) on a local deals site about buying from GB. Also helped there was a rep that's been around for a while.

So yeah, I expect to receive it and soon, and hopefully the result is a good one.
