You're seeing right. It's been stated plenty of times that the S would not have horizontal adjustment. Its look like the lens only can be adjusted up and down like A118c. I hope my eyes see wrong.
What do you mean rack? The frame of the camera, or the pillar at the edge of your windshield?I tried to adjust the lens all the way to the left (the camera mounted to the left of my mirror) and found it not useful at all. I was thinking if I mount 2 cameras on my windshield pointing them away from each other I would have a better side view. the more you turn the lens to the left (or right) the more of that left (right) picture side blocked by the rack.
the "pillar at the edge" of the windshield. google didn't translate the word properly. What do you mean rack? The frame of the camera, or the pillar at the edge of your windshield?
We have improved the sensitivity in V2.0 version, still not good? If not, we will improve it more but only in high sensitive mode.@viofo please adjust the G-sensor on the A119 You said it was going to be adjusted on this recent update but its the same. Is there no one in quality control at the last stage before the release?
To use the new lens part design on A119S, this will expand the lens choice. A new lens need a new design to feet. Its look like the lens only can be adjusted up and down like A118c. I hope my eyes see wrong.
I think higher quality video will win over the ability to swing the lens left and right.
Better still, do the engineers actually take the camera out on the road and drive over some real bumps to check the sensitivity? Although I'm not suggesting they go and crash test the camera!yes thank you @viofo but can you remind your engineer before releasing the fix can he please tap the camera with his finger to see if in fact the high sensitivity has been properly adjusted.

The problem is that cars have a huge range of ride quality. There's the Buicks and Cadillacs that make any crap road feel like a cloud, and there's sports cars that make a perfectly smooth brand new road feel like a rutted dirt road. And everywhere in between. So it's a pretty tall order to tune the g sensor in a dashcam so that it'll work acceptably in most vehicles.I was thinking about turning up the sensitivity until the camera starts saving false positive 'events' from driving over real bumps. Really just suggesting that they test the cameras in a real car, rather than tap test them while sitting at a desk.
I agree, the less moving parts the better. in my current A119, I have yet to use the horizontal adjustment. You're seeing right. It's been stated plenty of times that the S would not have horizontal adjustment.
Honestly that's probably fine for most people. I had no issues without horizontal adjustment on my a118 cameras, and I don't think my a119 is really adjusted very far off center if at all.
Message from VIVO support:
" The A119S will be coming out next week, more video will be showed soon.
The CPL will be available at the end of this month. "
I only moved mine very slightly. I think most would have the cam just off-centre of the windscreen so it will be fine. For other offset situations, other than the front screen, it's likely a lesser cam than the A119S would be sufficient.I agree, the less moving parts the better. in my current A119, I have yet to use the horizontal adjustment.
