A119 Mini 2 Test & Review PP

Afaik that's not quite correct.
It's 3840x2160 @ 24 fps + 1080p @ 30 fps or 3840x1600 @ 30 fps + 1080p @ 30 fps (which I'll be using as soon as I installed the rear cam. Front is using x1600 and it's good enough for me. I see 90% of my hood and most traffic lights above me):

Would love more clarification from others. I was thinking about getting a 2ch A139 Pro but now I'm considering two A119 Mini 2s since the cost of them is cheaper than a single 1ch A139 Pro. This way I get 2k resolution for front and back. If one camera breaks, I'll still have another one working.

I only recommend the A139 pro in 1-channel configuration.
The A139 Pro has the best DAYTIME image quality, (night time & low light not so much).

The A119 Mini 2 has the best NIGHT TIME & LOW LIGHT image quality, (daytime is 2nd best to the A139 Pro).
A139 Pro = $230
A119 Mini 2 + Free $15 CPL Filter = $113

Amazon gives these resolution though:
newest Sony STARVIS 2 tech, A139 PRO 2CH supports dual channel 4K+1080P recording with highly upgraded image clarity and accuracy in license capturing
1 channel Mode
4K 3840 x 2160 30 fps

2 channel mode
4K 3840 x 2160 30 fps(Front) + 1080p 30 fps(rear)

3 channel Mode
4K 3840*2160P 24fps(front) + 1080P 24fp(interior)s + 1080P 24fps(rear)

Incorrect.
It only goes to 24fps in 3-channel configuration.
Thanks, big sorry for having wrong information. Rarely happens, but I got it mixed up.
I edited my post.

I'll have a look at my cam tomorrow but might it be, that the A139 Pro can do 4k @ 30 fps but 3840x1600 @ 60 fps when used alone or 3840x1600 @ 30 fps + 2x 1080p @ 30 fps in 3CH instead of just 24 fps?
One review definitely mentioned something like this...

That would explain why I got it so wrong...

Hey question on the mini 2. Does it work on the mini 1 gps base with its charging wire?

Is this the maximum for the rear or the resolution it comes with?
The A129 Pro has the same numbers.
The rear and inside cameras have a 1080p sensor. They won't go to 2k if you could use them standalone.
From the about 300 "cases" that I've read/watched over the last months, that were resolved only due to dashcam footage, the rear cam was never needed to prove the innocence but only helped clarifying the whole picture of the situation.

I guess the main-cam would overheat if you'd record at a higher bitrate and using 2x 4k would deter the quality too much. With only 2x 30 mbps.

That does not work for a typical consumer. 2 seperate parking mode cables, 2 seperate SD cards, more complex install.

The rear and interior cameras have a fixed resolution of 1920x1080 but the FPS value is 30 FPS (most resolutions) except it's 24 FPS (for all three cameras) when in 3-channel mode and the front camera's resolution is set to 3840x2160.

I list all of the resolutions options in my A139 Pro review video. F=Front, I=Interior, R=Rear in this chart.

We must be driving you crazy with all this Mini 2 hubbub. lol
My Mini 2 YouTube review should be filmed tonight.

You're right it doesn't. But for most newer SUVs there's a 12v socket in the back so it's quite easy to install a separate 1ch rear camera. Parking mode would also be difficult but a typical install wouldn't.

This is the reason I would like to see a low, medium and high volume control in the menu, so the user would have some control over the gain.

The sound on my Mobius 1S is excellent but I've noticed that when I drive at speed with the window(s) open I can get serious clipping from the wind noise. The solution was to re-set the volume from high to medium.

(Edit: I didn't become aware of this problem until the weather warmed up and I started driving with my windows open.)
In the latest test firmware, there is a volume control for the speaker and microphone.

Can you upload a YouTube audio test demonstrating the Low/Med/High volume levels of the Microphone like this?

Wouldn't this test work?
