I have just ordered this dashcam from foxoffer1 on eBay .
I do hope it's as good as it looks !!!

They share the same housing, so while it might look the same from the outside its not the same product inside.

The firmware is perhaps different but the hardware is the same :
- the same DSP = Ambarella A7LA50
- the same sensor = 3Mega CMOS sensor (AR0330CS)
-...
The price is different !

there's a lot more to a product than what hardware is used, the price you are referring to is a retail price in Australia (AUD) with all the taxes and charges that go along with that, the specification and inclusions are also different, that aside if I was shipping direct out of China it would be nothing like that

Properly tuned-up FW plays no.1 role in dashcam performance. For example two similar look and with same HW ( example NT96650 + AR0330 ) may perform completely different way with different video quality. Therefor price may vary depending on FW developer.

I don't see any difference in specification and inclusions !
I thing that is the same product but with a shareware a little different .
Overloads, taxes, ..the price is overvalued because it is not a noname.
I was curious to se the difference in videos between the two products.

of course you don't see the difference, you haven't seen the product, yes the video result will be different but all is irrelevant anyway as you are not in Australia to purchase it, if you do decide to relocate to Australia let us know and I'll do you a deal

Then why did the street guardian facebook page advertise using it with the power magic pro? Who runs that page?

Edit: it was the 9665 tho

Good news, its been a long road to get it, (pun intended) I just placed one in my basket for delivery, just waiting on Jon for a reply to my PM, getting excited soon be Christmas.
 
Very interested in this one, but after my 0803 experience will await a few other user reviews before I take the plunge. This one is a bit more than throwaway money like the 0803 was...
